The Charleston Metro Chamber of Commerce and Charleston Regional Development Alliance, assisted by representatives of Avalanche Consulting and McCallum Sweeney, have partnered to develop the One Region global competitiveness strategy. The team behind the strategy has outlined its vision as acting globally as a unified region in an attempt to help businesses succeed. Additionally, the partners have identified eight regional dynamics that will help propel the Charleston region toward global competitiveness, including remedying traffic congestion, improving the skills of the area's workforce, making housing more affordable, increasing local wages, assisting employers with recruiting and retaining quality employees, and getting young professionals into the mix. http://www.oneregionstrategy.com
